F.A.Q.
Do you provide outdoor play areas?
Yes. We believe that dogs need the fresh air and sunshine just like we do! We encourage the dogs to play outside as much as they would like, but carefully monitor them in summer heat or winter cold to ensure that they are safe and healthy and don’t overtire themselves.
What makes you different than a traditional kennel?
While a traditional kennel typically leaves dogs in kennels with short breaks to be outside individually, Bark Park is designed to be an open play experience for our fur-iends. We believe that dogs are pack creatures and need each other for their overall well-being. The only time they are separated is if requested to do so during feeding times, or if we notice anxious or aggressive behaviors.
Is there a discount for multiple dogs?
Yes! For more details please speak to one of our Pack Leaders.
Can you provide my dog his/her medications? Is there a charge?
Our Pack Leaders are happy to provide your dog’s medications at no extra charge. However, for your pet’s safety, medication must be in the original bottle and the prescription must be current.
Can I take a tour?
Of course! We would be happy to arrange a tour of our facility for you and your dog. Speak with one of our Pack Leaders to set up a time for a tour.
Can any dog come in for daycare?
Every pooch must first complete the Meet ‘N Greet so we can see how they interact with other fur-iends and our Pack Leaders. They must be over ten weeks old, be spayed or neutered if they are over 9 months old, and be current on their vaccinations (Rabies, Bordetella, and DHLPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza) ). Fur-iends attending daycare must be in good health, flea/tick free, and able to interact well in the pack environment.
What is the Meet ‘N Greet?
Our love for dogs started Bark Park. And because we love your dogs like they are our own we want to ensure their safety and health to the very best of our abilities. One of the ways we do this is through an initial Meet ‘N Greet to ensure that your fur-iend will be happy and comfortable here. This is a chance for our Pack Leaders to meet you and your dog and evaluate your dog’s comfort with things like physical touch, the open-play environment and the other fur-iends that are here at Bark Park. We will also review your pup’s proof of vaccinations, flea/tick treatments and that your pooch is spayed/ neutered. We encourage you to leave your fur-iend with us for a 1 hour of play after your Meet ‘N Greet so that we can slowly introduce them to other fur-iends.
Do you turn away dogs based on their breed?
Bark Park welcomes all dogs based on their behavior and assessment at the initial Meet ‘N Greet. However, occasionally City/Town By-Laws or Insurance Policies may prevent us from accepting a particular breed. If you have any concerns or questions, please speak with one of our Pack Leaders.
Should I bring anything for my dog’s stay? Do I need to bring my own dog food?
We want your pooch to feel at home here at Bark Park. Your dog can bring a favorite toy with them, however, we have plenty to play with here! We encourage you to bring food that your pooch is familiar with to prevent their stomach from getting sick during their stay. However, we are happy to provide your dog with the House Choice that is on hand or any one of our treat options for a small extra fee.
Do we provide overnight bedding?
We are happy to provide cots and blankets for dogs that are visiting us. However, bringing your dogs own bedding can always help make them feel more at home for their overnight stays.
